Electrifying Design

The 2024 bZ4X is sized to occupy the middle of the very popular compact SUV segment – while combining the originality needed to stand out from the crowd. The 2024 bZ4X’s front fascia and headlamps emphasize the corners for a fresher, aerodynamic look, while a lower hood height improves forward visibility. The side profile is sleek and balanced – with a long wheelbase, a flowing silhouette, and dynamic character lines. The rear emphasizes the bZ4X’s powerful stance while once again putting focus on the corners and tail lamps. Notable exterior features include auto-levelling LED headlamps, LED daytime running lights, LED rear combination lamps, a powered back door, power-adjustable and heated exterior mirrors with puddle lights, and rain-, mist-, and moisture-sensing wipers with deicers.

Open the doors, and the bZ4X’s extra-wide interior results in a spacious, quiet, and relaxing cabin for driver and up to four additional passengers. Comfort is assured – with legroom equivalent to that in a large sedan for all passengers, as well as copious side-to-side space in the rear seat. Premium component finishes and soft-touch materials elevate the style and comfort, while smart design places controls and gauges within easy reach and sightline for the driver. All models feature a 7-inch full-colour LCD multi-information display, dual-zone automatic climate control with an automatic air circulation control system, a heated and leather-wrapped steering wheel on a tilting/telescoping column, and a front centre console box. By stowing the 60/40 split folding rear seat, the bZ4X can hold an impressive amount of cargo.

 

 

Fun to drive

Toyota offers the 2024 bZ4X with a choice of two all-electric powertrains. The bZ4X LE features a front-wheel-drive system that enables a range of up to 406 km between charges. This model’s powertrain delivers its 150kW power output to the front wheels, translating to 201 system horsepower and 196 lb-ft of torque.

The bZ4X XLE and XLE Technology Package feature the added all-weather confidence of an all-wheel-drive powertrain that splits front/rear axle power 80kW/80kW. These models are rated at 214 system horsepower and 248 lb-ft of torque, with a range of up to 367 km between charges. The 2024 bZ4X's All-Wheel-Drive system adds X-MODE and Grip Control engineered to help you handle tricky terrain and low-grip situations like snow and mud.

On FWD models, the high-capacity lithium-ion battery pack powers the electric motor that is positioned in the front of the vehicle. AWD models boast two motors, one in front and one in the rear.

When it comes to powering up bZ4X there are plenty of options, including 120V outlets, 240V chargers as well as DC fast-chargers. All bZ4X models are equipped with a J1772/CCS1 (Combined Charging System (CCS)) socket, which allows for both home and public charging. The 6.6 kW onboard charger allows the bZ4X to charge to full in about 11 hours with a Level 2 charger either at home or at a public charger (at optimal outside temperatures).

Charging times in cold weather conditions have been improved for DC fast charging. Enhancements have been made to the battery thermal system, including the addition of a water-to-water heat exchanger and heating adjustment valve to increase battery temperature, allowing for faster DC charging in cold temperatures.

 

 

Convenience at the centre of your experience

The 2024 bZ4X puts intuitive technology at one’s fingertips – and voice. Every model features the Toyota Multimedia system – a bundle of smart connectivity technologies that keeps drivers informed and safe while simplifying their lives behind the wheel. The system integrates wirelessly with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and features Toyota’s newest interface, which improves interaction between people and vehicle through sight, voice, and touch. Many functions may be controlled via the touch screen via the same gestures used on mobile phone screens.

The 2024 bZ4X features a 12.3-inch touchscreen display, Toyota Multimedia with Service Connect and Safety Connect (up to 10-year trial) and also Remote Connect (up to 3-year trial), a six-speaker audio system, one USB-A and two USB-C charging ports, and a 7" full colour multi-information display.

The 2024 bZ4X XLE AWD Technology Package adds a wireless charging dock for smartphones, Intelligent Clearance Sonar with Rear Cross Traffic Brake, a premium JBL audio system with nine speakers, a Digital Key, and a 3-year Drive Connect complimentary trial.

The 2024 bZ4X's fully digital multi-information display now provides owners with additional charging information to make trip planning easier. Additional data includes the state of charge percentage, estimated time to 80-percent charge, and estimated vehicle range.

 

 

Advanced peace of mind

Every bZ4X comes with an impressive package of safety features, headlined by Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 – the newest configuration of Toyota’s suite of active safety technologies and capabilities that supports driver awareness and decision making to help reduce the potential for accidents. Its advanced active safety features includes: Pre-Collision System including Pedestrian, Bicycle & Motorcycle Detection, Front-to-Front Oncoming Vehicle Detection, Left Turn Oncoming Vehicle Detection/Braking, and Right/Left Turn Oncoming Pedestrian Detection/Braking, Lane Tracing Assist, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control with Curve Speed Management.

Other standard safety features include a backup camera, eight airbags, a tire pressure monitoring system with auto location, and an onboard tire repair kit.
